I always look forward to Mondays because it’s usually the best day of the school week for me. Even though I wake up obnoxiously early to make my carpool, even though sitting in a car with 3-4 other people can get stuffy, even though my math class is one of the most monotonous things on the planet… just being able to hangout with my brothers all day with non-stop laughter and profound conversations makes me day. It’s always a blessing to be able to hangout with them. We’ve grown to have a routine of hanging out at the Cafe, hanging out in the SU Building, playing Irish multiple times in between classes, and eating out when we’re all done with class. It’s great, being able to fellowship with them all the time. For a long time, I’ve never really had anyone I’ve considered my brothers. I’m truly blessed to have these guys in my life to help me when I’m down and bring me closer to my faith. Our schedules are gonna be different next semester so we’re not gonna have days like those anymore. Luckily I’ll see them at least twice a week outside of school. Thanks Christian, Ian, and Ronnel. Best first semester of college ever.

“Julian’s customer service is better than the best employees at In N Out. I want all of our employees to be like him”.
That’s what my manager’s boss at Jack in the Box sent to my manager today via text message. The night before, her boss said I did “an amazing job” after she came through the drive through. Same night, the owner’s wife came through and told my manager that “he is very friendly and he did an excellent job”. The timing of those compliments was perfect because for the past couple of weeks I’ve been losing patience with the customers at work. Not that I would show it, but work was starting to get really stressful and I wasn’t enjoying it anymore. The compliments were a big motivation boost. It’s really cool to get those compliments especially because I’m still considered the newbie at work. I’m really glad I kept my cool all the time at work, otherwise I might not have been so lucky.
